For over 60 years, Frankston Archery Club has been the home of South East Melbourne and Mornington Peninsula Archers — welcoming complete beginners, right through to Olympic-level competitors. Our members are a diverse mix of ages, backgrounds and archery interests, brought together by a shared love of the sport.

Whether you’re drawn to traditional forms from around the world or modern target disciplines, you’ll find friendly coaching, great people, and a place to belong. Frankston Archery Club runs a welcoming mix of social shoots, fun club days, coaching sessions and competitive events throughout the year—so whether you’re brand new, returning to the sport, or training seriously, there’s something for you. Our events are designed to suit a wide range of ages, styles and experience levels, and they’re a great way to meet other members and keep progressing. Frequently Asked Questions

  • No experience needed. Our Come ‘N’ Try sessions start with a safety briefing and coaching on the basics, and we guide you step-by-step. Go to lessons section to learn more.

  • We provide all equipment for Come ’N’ Try and beginner lessons. If you have your own gear, chat to us first so we can confirm it’s suitable and safe for the range.

  • Wear enclosed shoes and comfortable, fitted clothing (avoid loose sleeves and dangling accessories). Bring water, and a hat/sunscreen if it’s sunny.

  • If you are new to Archery, start with a Come ’N’ Try, then complete our beginner course/lessons. After that, you can join as a member and shoot regularly with ongoing support.

    If you are already an experienced archer contact our committee via the web form to discuss a time to meet on the range.

  • Yes, juniors are welcome. For safety and supervision, a responsible adult must remain onsite with junior participants..

  • Members can access the range 7 days a week (subject to safety rules and any scheduled club activities). We’ll explain how access works when you join.

  • Yes — archery can be very inclusive. We encourage you to contact us before booking so we can understand your needs and make the session as safe and enjoyable as possible (for example, adapting equipment, lane position, or coaching approach where feasible).
